Snapshot of Lt Col Malcolm Nugent Ross (19th Bn) and Lt John Percy Copp (65th Bn) in uniform on a walk along a country road in Surrey, near the border to West Sussex. Both men were living in Saskatchewan when they enlisted, Copp was reported wounded April 28, 1917 (possibly during the battle of Arleux) and sent back to Canada for medical treatmetn. He wasawarded the Military Cross  for Bravery in August of 1917.
