[George Nugent Dickson Otty was born in Hampton Kings County, New Brunswick on February 10th, 1885. Civil engineer by trade, Otty enlisted April 12th, 1915 and was given a Lieutenancy in the 6th Regiment Canadian Mounted Rifles. The 6th C.M.R. arrived in France October 22, 1915 and in January 1916, was absorbed by the 4th and 5th C.M.R. Otty became a Lieutenant under the 5th C.M.R., serving at Ypres Salient until his death on June 2, 1916.
