Description
Human remains located in Gallipoli. Possibly Turkish casualties. The Gallipoli Campaign (April 25, 1915 - January 9, 1916) brought British, Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZACs), and French troops to the Gallipoli Penninsula to engage the Ottoman Empire. Ultimately it was a victory for the Ottoman troops, as they repelled the Allies' attempt to take Constantinople (Istanbul) for the duration of the campaign with high numbers of casualites on both sides.
