Description
Aerial view of the town of Albert in the Somme Department, France. The town was used as a base by the British during the Battle of the Somme, taken by the Germans in March 1918, then retaken by the British in April of the same year. The town was almost completely destroyed during the war and rebuilt following the end of the war.
