Sun Quarry, Cherisy, captured by the 2nd Canadian Division, August, 1918 [ASE Label]

Photograph of the flint quarry, known as Sun Quarry, near Cherisy, France. The area was captured by Allied troops in May of 1917, but lost to the German forces the same night. It was not until August of 1918 that the Canadian corps would take Cherisy back for the Allies.
